We are proud to announce that The Dressing Room’s owner, Deryane has been shortlisted for the 2013 Specsavers everywoman in Retail Ambassador Programme.
Every year, the Specsavers everywoman in Retail Ambassador programme will celebrate role models who individually represent the best of female talent working in retail today. Collectively they give a comprehensive snapshot of what success looks like at all ages & stages of a career in retail, and across all divisions of the industry. The women awarded Retail Ambassador status at this annual ceremony will be profiled as exempla role models – not just in retail, but the wider business community.
The 25 retail Ambassadors will be unveiled at a star studded ceremony at The Waldorf Hilton, Aldwych on 26th September 2013.
Deryane says ‘I am so proud to have been nominated and shortlisted for the Everywoman Retail Ambassador’s programme. I started my career in retail at a young age and quickly discovered it was a vibrant, ever changing industry that I wanted to be a part of. I have gone on to build a successful, well respected multi-channel retail business and I would love to inspire young girls and women to consider Retail as a great career option.’
For the past five years, The Specsavers everywoman in Retail Awards have recognised and applauded the dynamic female talent working within this fast growth sector. Conscious of the high street’s ever changing landscape, in no small part as a result of the success of multichannel retailing, everywoman and Specsavers have created a new style recognition programme to replace the Awards that will identify and acknowledge the women who are driving this change across a multitude of disciplines from food and interiors through to fashion and luxury.
We are proud to be associated with The Everywoman Retail Ambassadors programme and hope that it will go on to inspire more young women to see Retail as a rewarding, challenging and fullfiling career option.
