We asked the gorgeous & talented Tabitha from Project D and Tabitha bags to give us her take on The Royal Wedding. Here’s what she wrote;

Tabitha gives us her thoughts on the day everyone's talking about!....

Only a week to go until the Royal wedding and the tension is mounting! I am so excited, but really only so I can see what everyone is going to wear…and then make cynical comments because I can. Speculation is rife about who is designing Kate’s wedding dress, and I really don’t think anyone has any idea who it will be, but I have a feeling it will be absolutely beautiful. With her very slim line figure, I would love to see her in something fitted and slightly sexy – I am feeling long sleeves with all over lace and a plunging neckline to reflect her personality. I can’t even begin to imagine the terror the poor girl must be feeling at the prospect of walking up the aisle in front of 2 million people!!

Style highlights will of course be Victoria Beckham – we are all trembling in our stilletos to see how she pulls off pregnancy chic at the biggest royal wedding of the century so far, but I am sure she will wow us all as ever. Then there is Carole Middleton – rumour has it she has been throwing last minute tantrums about her outfit…the big question is will it be hot enough so that she can leave her air hostess days behind her once and for all? I will always be doubtful about her fashion, an royal, credentials. Pippa Middleton I think will play it safe as Maid of Honour in Alice Temperly…slightly boho, but sexy enough to make sure she pulls at the after party. That seems to be her MO.

I will be watching out for Tara Palmer Tompkinson to see how she hides her ever collapsing nose, and on that note, will Mike Tindall have had his nose fixed for the big day?! I believe it was the Queen’s wishes…

Overall though, I will be watching to see if the Middleton guests hold their own against Royals from both home and abroad? The Royals are bred from birth to be understated and elegant – can self made wealth from the home counties hold its own at such a foray? How will the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker see their way to fashion success at such a monumental event?

As for me, I would wear our Moneypenny dress in black on cream from our SS11 collection, with a pair of Guiseppe Zanottie platform heels, and a gold Tabitha clutch. But I think my invite must still be in the post.
