Spring/Summer 2012 is one of the most exciting seasons we can remember. There are so many new looks to try out and have fun with.  We have had an amazing time choosing the new collections for you and even more fun styling them.

So, here is Deryane’s lowdown on the looks of the season and the key pieces for Spring/Summer 2012 – plus an introduction to some amazing New Brands to the Dressing Room, cherry picked just for you!

First up – Colour - the trend that you just cannot escape this season!  Wear Colour on your jeans, with your jeans, clashing, tonal or subdued  - just so long as you wear it!

When the worlds of two fashion darlings collide, the result is a stunning collection of show stopping pieces!

The brainchildren behind this amazing collection are Olivia Rubin and Chloe Moss.  Oliva Rubin launched her first womenswear collection after graduating from Central Saint Martins and is now in her 7th successful season.  Her signature prints fast gained her respect with the fashion press and an A lister celebrity following.

Chloe Moss is the talent behind one of The Dressing Room’s favourite jewellery brands  ChloBo which never ceases to amaze us and always leave us wanting more.

This dynamic duo have created a limited edition collection.  The charms within this unique collection pay homage to Olivia’s signature prints, the speech bubble, the statue and the brick.

Although this collection doesn’t even launch until next week, when the fashion press were given a sneak preview, it went down a storm!

Harper’s Bazaar described the collection as ‘gorgeous’ and said ‘she won’t be taking hers off!’ Neither will we!

Look out Toywatch is back and its this seasons must have accessory!

Toywatch is back and hitting strong and hard with some great new collections. They can be seen everywhere at the moment and with a wide range of colours, prints and styles they are not to be missed, especially when you can find them right on your door step here at the Dressing Room. Our favorite has to be this one featured in the Sunday Times Style magazine and we can’t wait for it to arrive in store.

The ‘Mother’ of denim brands is coming soon to The Dressing Room!

We are so excited about this new denim brand’s imminent arrival that we just had to tell you about it!  The brand hails from the states and is the genious work of design duo Tim Kaeding and Leala Tillem.  The duo hail from a denim background with one from 7 for All Mankind and one from Citizens of Humanity!

Number 1 this week in Grazia's Fashion Charts!

These sophisticated, wearable tailored denims are probably the softest jeans to date with an almost cashmere like feel and they come in a fabulous array of rich colour washes.

In their own words ‘ our idea was to create a brand that captured the excitement of our own new fangled denims.  We are able to add a new element to the way pe0ple wear jeans in fit, fabric, finish and now feel’.

We promise to let you know the moment this tantalizing brand arrives through The Dressing Room doors.  But mark my words, you heard it hear first they are set to be the ‘Mother’ of all denims for 2011!

Ssshhhh! The Dressing Room are about go down under!

Okay so the title may have been a tad misleading!  We are not moving down under but are so excited to inform you that we are bringing a little bit of Aus to you!   For those of you fashion savvy ladies among us, you will no doubt have already heard the excited whisperings about uber cool brand Style Stalker!  Well we want to shout about it because frankly WE LOVE IT! And can’t wait to get our fashion mitts on  it!

The best is yet to come! Only a few more weeks left to wait!

 

This sydney based label was created by best friends Rachel Zeilic and Sue-Ann San.  The uber cool design duo are by their own admission self confessed style hunters whose design inspiration comes from back issues of magazines to jetting off to the cities and simply devouring all things style!  The outcome, an edgy chic collection which teases us with masculine tees and laces and brings Glam and street style together in one hit!  Genious!

Cheryl isn’t the only celeb to get stalking either, this gorgeous label has been papped on Kim Kardashion ( Sam’s fav style icon!) and the very ultra cool Sienna Miller!

We predict a fashion riot for J Brand J brand J brand!

Tension is rising, Excitment is building, according to our sources, J-brands the place to go!  It’s true ladies, we thought we’d share our insiders fashion knowledge with you on what we predict to be one of the biggest denim brands this season!  Why?  largely because we can hardly contain our excitment and also because we are rubbish at keeping secrets especially where fashion is concerned!

To give you bit of background on this gorgeous brand.  It was created by Jeff Rudes and Susie Crippen.  Jeff who has a wealth of knowledge and experience having been in the industry since the 70′s!  Before the majority of the Dressing Room teams time infact!   And Susie Crippen a former stylist.  The outcome of this design duo – a fabulous brand of jean that fit perfectly following the contour of the body thus the wearer feels and looks fabulous!

Spring summer sees the introduction of the Gigi.  The new cropped kick flare jean!  It is the uber cool silhouette to have this season and was splashed all over the catwalk shows back in September!

Need we say more?!

You will be pleased to learn that J Brand’s  Agnes and Houlihan’s are here to stay.  Hurrah! Only this season there’s the introduction of some gorgeous new colours, vintage taupe, shadow black and olympia just to give you a few tantalising teasers!

J Brand has developed a cult celebrity following from Rhianna, Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani and Drew Barrymore to name just a few.  We just know that they are going to make an even bigger splash with the fashion press this season that they did last season!  So what are you waiting for, we have them online and available to buy now and promise to let you you know as soon as the new delivery arrives at our feet!

The Fashion Staples that will make your season!

As usual we have been out and about striving to find the coolest collections for you – and we have hit the jackpot again with the oh so fashionable Equipment Blouse.

Coined by Grazia Magazine as ‘the Alpha Blouse of the moment’ , Equipment is owned by Christian Restoin (husband of French Vogue Editor and all round Style Maven, Carine Roitfield.).  The classic Equipment Blouse is a minimalist silk shirt with front pockets.  Grazia say ‘This is the fashion staple that will make your season’, and we have to say we agree with them!
