Wrap up for fireworks weekend!

All of a sudden it’s turned all cold on us! Which actually is just what we’ve been waiting for as it gives us a good excuse to bundle up in all the gorgeously cosy items in this winters’ collection.

Charlotte’s outfit of the week!

With all the lovely christmas stock going out onto the shopfloor next week, I’ve been having a sneaky look at what i am fancying for the party season! There are soooo many gorgeous things to choose from, here is just one of my favourite oufits so far!……….

This studded top from blank is amazing on. With its slight cowl neck and hand sewn embellishment detailing it is great over a simple vest top in the evening or can still be worn with a long sleeve tee underneath for a funky daytime look….

Would wear this top with the Paige Skyline Skinny Jeans, as they are a really slim fit but are a four way stretch denim, which makes them really comfortable to wear as well as looking great!

Autumn/Winter trends – how to work ‘em!

As I’m sure you’re all aware – there are a lot of trends doing the rounds this season – shoulder pads, leather, studs, velvet…It can all get a bit much. And while the fashion elite like to tell us what we should be wearing, when it comes to HOW we should be wearing these shapes, materials and embellishments (and I mean practically) they’re a little more tight lipped. So, we’ve come up with an outfit for you that rocks not one, not two, but FOUR of Autumn/Winter’s hottest trends. What’s even better, this look can take you from day to night with a quick show swap!

Velvet is making a huge comeback at the moment, and by giving a wardrobe staple a velvet make-over, these MiH Marrakesh kick flare jeans are an easy and practical way to wear the fabric (trend No. 1 – tick!). And in a gorgeous plum, these jeans have the fabric and colour du jour sorted (trend No. 2 – tick!). But if you’re after a more classic look, they also come in fail-safe black. Weekend Style Fix

Fancy something new for the weekend?  WE do!  Especially with all the rain this morning!  The Dressing Room’s Deryane has picked out the following look’s that she will be wearing this weekend – so take some inspiration from her!

Perfect for dinner and drinks out this evening, I will be wearing the fabulous Maje Philomena dress!  I am just loving shoulder pads and the 80’s vibe right now!

I’ll team with with my funky LnA zipper leggings and my favourite Steve Madden Revenu shoe boots.  In fact I am quite excited to tell you that this is one of the outfits I wore for my recent photo shoot with the Daily Mail!!  Watch this space for more details…

Toywatch, Toywatch, Toywatch!

That is the word on everyone’s lips at the moment, or so it would seem. These super stylish plastic wrist watches are the hottest must-have accessory this season, loved by, well…everyone. Even the X-Factor’s gorgeous (we just wish he was a bit older) Lloyd was wearing one of the brighter styles on last weekend’s show. Perhaps he’d been inspired by mentor and style icon Cheryl Cole, who is said to be a massive fan.

A weekend walk in the park

Now, we’ve been complaining about the cold weather quite a bit (ok, a lot!) this week, but thanks in large part to recent deliveries, we’ve discovered the autumnal climate has a silver lining - it is the perfect time of year to wrap up in your cosiest knits and go for long weekend walks in the park. And The Dressing Room’s Suzy has put together a stylish winter warm outfit for you just in case you’re braving the elements this weekend.

Suzy has layered up underneath the colourful cardi with some long sleeved American Vintage Massachussets in purple and teamed it all with Current Elliott leggings in Jet Black (below).

Cosy up in chunky knits

If, like us, you’ve noticed it’s getting rather chilly outside, fear not, we’ve had some gorgeous chunky knits in recently that will keep you cosy AND stylish over the next few months.

Brighten up your winter wardrobe with the  Comix knit from everyone’s favourite Odd Molly. A rainbow of colours feature on this pretty patterned cardi, from on-trend purple and navy to subtle hints of orange and red. With brown leather elbow pads and a brown tie at the waist, it is a fun, contemporary classic.

Their  Subzero wool sweater has a slightly more subdued colour spectrum – cream and brown alongside splashes of pink and orange, but it is just as lovely. With a tassle lined hood it is perfect for our unpredictable climate. They’re both so gorgeous we can’t decide between the two! We’ll be getting pictures of both onto the website asap.
